Mark Norton is a highly talented saxophonist and has played in many top soul, jazz, funk and blues bands over the years. He is best known as former front man of The Gene Drayton Unit. As well as playing saxophone, Mark also plays the flute and blues harp and writes music.
Mark began collecting jazz and soul records in the early 80s and calculates that since then, he has probably spent more money on records than on food (at one time he had an album-a-day habit).
Despite playing live all over the world, Mark still finds time to look for records and occasionally DJs at events in London. He has played sets for us at Right On!, Looking Good and Home Cookin'.
