Mark Ellis is a highly regarded DJ who has been collecting records for longer than anyone can remember. Though he collects a wide variety of styles, from blues to rocksteady, he is particularly well known for his extensive library of Latin boogaloo.
Originally from the North of England, Mark first made a name for himself DJing at a club called Brighton Beach. Since moving to London, he has been highly in demand here as a guest DJ and has played at events such as Steppin' Out, Walls Of Heartache, The West One R&B Club, Finger Poppin' Time and Raise Your Hand. He also continues to DJ all over the UK and Europe.
In 2002 and 2003, Mark ran It's A Shingaling Thing! alongside fellow DJ Will Bourton. This was an amazing monthly session of top drawer Latin jazz, soul jazz and boogaloo sounds.
Mark made his Right On! DJ debut way back in 2003 at Thirteen. He also DJ'd at the Right On! Nick Rossi Set gig at The Troubadour, proving what a selection of killer dancefloor jazz tunes he has up his sleeve.
