DEAN RUDLAND -

As well as having been one of the main men at Acid Jazz, Dean has worked for some of the world's greatest record labels including the renowned Blue Note Records and legendary Latin label, Fania. He currently works for leading reissue label, Ace Records, running their BGP imprint. On top of being an extremely popular club DJ in the UK, Dean regularly travels to the USA discovering long-lost master tapes hidden deep in dusty record vaults and meeting many of the big-name artists of the 60s and 70s.

Known as the "compilation king", Dean has compiled far too many top quality albums to list here, but examples include the "Mod Jazz" series, "Super Funk" and the hugely influential "Blue Break Beats" and "Blue Juice" volumes. His critically-acclaimed Fania compilation "El Barrio: The Bad Boogaloo" was officially launched at Right On! on Saturday 23rd September 2006.

When Mr Rudland DJs at Right On! you can expect to hear some wonderful jazz, funk and soul - plus of course those Fania boogaloo and salsa gems!
